Bicycle Capuche Paris

Paris is becoming a bicycle city: After the first lockdown in 2020, the number of cyclists in the French capital increased by almost 70 percent compared to the year before. And Mayor Anne Hidalgo is also an active cyclist (yes, of course we reported that she owns a Thousand Helmet in Navy Blue ;).

So how fitting that the great rain hoods by CAPUCHE from Paris are among the NEW ARRIVALS in our shop. 100% made and designed in France, the story behind CAPUCHE is the founding story of Juliette and Gisèle.

Juliette is art director in Paris and spent an average of 170 rainy days thinking about her hairstyle. Gisèle is Juliette's grandmother, lives in Chambery and, thanks to her handy rain hat, has never had to worry about the wet weather or her hair. And it is precisely this practical rain hood paired with Juliette's creative mindset, her flair for fashion and many years of experience in the industry that laid the foundation for CAPUCHE.

In 2017 the first collection comes onto the market and thanks to numerous press releases and a TV appearance on "Qui veut être mon associé?" (Who wants to be my business partner?) CAPUCHE becomes an almost cult must-have in France, followed by its entry into the prestigious addresses Galerie Lafayette, Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche and Fondation Louis Vuitton.

But even without all the media hype, the CAPUCHE bonnets are simply practical, well thought out and there is a lot of love and craftsmanship in the products.

We think: CAPUCHE should not be missing in any handbag and proves that the hairstyle can be protected so easily and stylishly.
