Happy Bike to Work Month
For us, being able to bike to work positively impacts quality of life. It’s that time of the day where you can collect your thoughts, reflect on your day or simply don’t think about anything at all.
And it’s really just that easy to start. All you need is a bicycle!
You’re not commuting by bike yet but always think it would be cool to ride your bike to work or home after a busy day? Maybe it’s crossed your mind that cycling not only helps the environment and saves money (and often time); but it could help you stay in shape and burn a few extra calories.
Don’t make a big deal out of cycling gear and clothes
Simply wear what’s comfortable. Depending on the distance of your commute, you can bike in your office clothes. You sweat easily? Then care for your co-workers and pack an extra shirt, pack deodorant wipes and make sure you have some extra time to fix up when arriving at work.
Take a look over to bike cities like Copenhagen. The bike lanes look like fashion runways. Stylish people on beautiful bicycles riding into work.
Pick a sunny day to start and give it try. If you start really enjoying the commute you’ll see that the bicycle will quickly become your preferred form of transportation. And then you can start thinking about different weather scenarios for instance and how to prepare for them.
There are tons of helpful accessories and (stylish) cycling gear to make your bike life even easier and more fun. But we suggest to start with a few basic investments.
